Play Baccarat Online for Real Money

Baccarat is one of the simplest casino card games: you bet on one of two hands, Player or Banker, and the hand closest to 9 wins. You make no decisions after the bet, the house edge on Banker is just 1.06%, and a round takes seconds. This guide shows where to play baccarat online, how the game works, and what to check before you deposit.

Best Online Baccarat Casinos

We test every casino on a real account: we deposit, play baccarat, and withdraw. These are our current top picks for baccarat; the full ranking and reviews are on our best baccarat casinos page.

We may earn a commission when you sign up through our links. It never changes our reviews.

  1. 1
    MelBet — Editor’s pick. 120+ live baccarat tables from Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live and Ezugi, limits from $0.50 to $5,000, crypto withdrawals from 15 minutes. Baccarat counts 10% toward bonus wagering.
  2. 2
    1xBet — Best for baccarat variety. Speed, Squeeze, No Commission and Jackpot tables in one lobby.
  3. 3
    1win — Best for a big welcome bonus. 500% across your first four deposits, with baccarat counting 10% toward wagering.

Availability depends on your country. If a casino doesn’t accept players from your location, it won’t appear in the list.

Baccarat Games: Choose Your Table

Online casinos offer several versions of the same game. The rules and payouts stay the same; what changes is the pace, the presentation and the extra bets.

  • RNG baccarat — a digital table run by a random number generator. Fast, low limits, and usually available as a free demo.
  • Live dealer baccarat — a real dealer and real cards streamed from a studio. See live baccarat.
  • Speed Baccarat — a live version with rounds of about 27 seconds.
  • Squeeze — cards are revealed slowly, Asian-style, for extra tension.
  • No Commission — no 5% fee on Banker wins, but a Banker win with 6 pays only half.

You can compare all of them on our baccarat variants page.

How to Play Baccarat Online in 4 Steps

You can be at a table in a few minutes:

  1. 1
    Choose a casino from our list and create an account. You must be 18 or older (21+ in some places).
  2. 2
    Make a deposit by card, e-wallet or crypto. Verify your identity early so your first withdrawal isn’t delayed.
  3. 3
    Open the baccarat or live casino section and pick a table with limits that fit your bankroll.
  4. 4
    Place your bet on Player, Banker or Tie and watch the hand play out.

If you’ve never played before, read our baccarat rules for beginners first — it takes about five minutes.

Baccarat Bets and Payouts

There are three main bets in baccarat, and the Banker bet is the best of them. Here is how they compare in a standard 8-deck game:

Bet Payout Win probability House edge
Banker 0.95 to 1 (1 to 1 minus 5% commission) 45.86% 1.06%
Player 1 to 1 44.62% 1.24%
Tie 8 to 1 9.52% 14.36%

If the hand is a tie, Player and Banker bets are returned (a push). The Tie bet looks tempting at 8 to 1, but its house edge is more than 13 times higher than Banker’s. Full numbers are on our baccarat odds page.

Live Dealer Baccarat

Live baccarat is streamed in real time from a professional studio. A dealer draws real cards from a shoe, and you place bets through an on-screen interface while a timer counts down. The rules are the same as in RNG baccarat; the difference is the atmosphere and the slower pace of 30–50 seconds per round.

Most live tables come from Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, Ezugi and Playtech. Our live baccarat guide explains the table layout, the scoreboards and how to choose a live table.

Crypto & Bitcoin Baccarat

Still life: a gold coin with an embossed bitcoin symbol lying among casino chips on dark felt, petrol-teal reflection highlight

Many online casinos accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and stablecoins such as USDT for baccarat. The game is identical; only the payment method changes. Crypto deposits and withdrawals are often faster than bank transfers, but your balance can move with the coin’s price.

Before you play with crypto, check that the casino is licensed and that you’re sending coins on the right network. Our Bitcoin baccarat guide covers both.

Baccarat Bonuses

Still life: an open gold gift box with casino chips inside, satin ribbon, playing cards face down next to it, no numbers

Welcome bonuses can add to your bankroll, but read the terms before you claim one for baccarat. Many casinos count only a small share of table-game bets toward the wagering requirement, and some exclude baccarat entirely. At the casinos in our ranking, baccarat counts 5–10% toward wagering.

Look for three things: how much baccarat contributes to wagering, the maximum bet allowed while the bonus is active, and whether live tables are included. Cashback on live casino losses is often more useful for baccarat players than a deposit match.

How to Choose a Baccarat Casino

The best way to play baccarat online is at a casino that is licensed and fair, and that fits your budget. Check these six things before you deposit:

  • a license you can verify on the regulator’s website;
  • baccarat from known providers such as Evolution or Pragmatic Play;
  • a 5% commission on Banker, not higher;
  • table limits that match your bankroll;
  • clear withdrawal times and no pattern of payout complaints;
  • support that answers quickly in your language.

Baccarat on Mobile: Browser or App

You can play baccarat on any modern phone or tablet. Most casinos run in the mobile browser, so there’s nothing to install, while some also offer apps for Android and iOS.

  • Browser: works everywhere, no storage used, always up to date.
  • App: slightly faster to open and sends notifications, but isn’t available in every app store or country.
  • Live tables on mobile: turn your phone sideways for the full table view, and use Wi-Fi if you can — a dropped connection mid-round is frustrating.

FAQ

Baccarat is a game of luck. All drawing decisions follow fixed rules, so your only choice is which bet to place and how much to stake. Skill matters only in managing your bankroll.

Yes, at licensed online casinos that accept players from your country. You’ll need to register, verify your identity and make a deposit. Many casinos also offer free demo versions for practice.

At licensed casinos, no. RNG games are tested by independent labs, and live games use real cards on camera. Unlicensed sites carry real risk, which is why we only list licensed operators.

The Banker bet. Even after the 5% commission, it has the lowest house edge in the game: 1.06% in an 8-deck shoe. The Tie bet is the worst, at 14.36%.

No. You choose Player, Banker or Tie, and the dealer or software does the rest. You can learn the basic rules in a few minutes with our beginner’s guide.

Not reliably. Every bet has a built-in house edge, so over time the casino comes out ahead. Treat baccarat as paid entertainment and set a budget before you play.

At licensed online casinos with a baccarat or live casino section. Our ranking of baccarat casinos lists the ones we’ve tested.
