Live Dealer Baccarat
Live baccarat brings a real casino table to your screen: a professional dealer, real cards and a real shoe, streamed in HD from a studio around the clock. You bet through an on-screen interface, and the rules and payouts are exactly the same as in classic baccarat. Tables start from $0.50 per hand.

What Is Live Baccarat?

Live baccarat is a baccarat game played with a real dealer and streamed to you in real time. Cameras follow every card from the shoe to the table, and software reads the cards automatically to settle bets.
A typical round takes 30–50 seconds: a betting window with a countdown timer, the deal, any third cards, and the payout. The rules are the standard Punto Banco rules explained in our baccarat rules guide, so if you know how to play online, you already know how to play live.
Inside a Live Baccarat Table
Every live table has the same main parts:
- Betting area — boxes for Player, Banker, Tie and side bets. Choose a chip value and tap a box.
- Timer — bets are accepted only while it runs, usually for a few seconds before each deal.
- Roads (scoreboard) — the history of recent rounds, shown in several formats.
- Cameras — multiple angles, including close-ups of the cards as they’re revealed.
- Chat — you can say hello to the dealer and other players.
- Table limits — the minimum and maximum bet for each box.

Live Baccarat Providers

Four studios supply most of the live baccarat you’ll find online:
- Evolution — the widest range: classic, Speed, Squeeze, Lightning, Golden Wealth, Peek and First Person.
- Pragmatic Play Live — fast tables and low minimum bets.
- Ezugi — classic and no-commission tables, with dealers in several languages.
- Playtech — live baccarat tables and premium high-limit rooms.
How to Start Playing in 5 Steps
- 1Choose a casino with a live casino section and sign up.
- 2Verify your identity — without it, you won’t be able to withdraw winnings.
- 3Make a deposit in your account currency.
- 4Open the live casino and pick a baccarat table with suitable limits.
- 5Wait for the betting window to open and place your bet before the timer runs out.
Baccarat Roads: How to Read the Scoreboard
Every live table shows the history of recent rounds in boards called roads. They look complex, but the basics are simple.
- Bead Plate — each round is one circle: red for Banker, blue for Player, green for Tie, filled in column by column.
- Big Road — streaks of the same result go down in one column; a change of winner starts a new column.
- Big Eye Boy, Small Road, Cockroach Pig — derived roads that compare the length of streaks in the Big Road.
Important: past rounds don’t affect the next one. Roads are useful to follow the game, not to predict it. Our baccarat strategy page explains why patterns don’t work.
Live Baccarat Tips

- 1Choose a table where the minimum bet is no more than 1–2% of your session bankroll.
- 2Bet on Banker: even with the commission, it has the lowest house edge.
- 3Be careful with Tie and side bets — their house edge is several times higher.
- 4Check your connection before you play. A bet placed before the timer ends is usually settled even if you disconnect, but check the casino’s rules.
- 5Set a time limit: Speed Baccarat can run over a hundred rounds an hour.
Can You Play Live Baccarat for Free?

Usually not. Live tables are real-money games with real dealers, so most providers don’t offer a demo. But you have options:
- Watch without betting. Many casinos let you open a live table and follow the game before you play.
- Try First Person Baccarat. It looks like a live table, uses RNG, and is often available in free demo mode.
- Start with the lowest limits. When you’re ready, pick a table with a minimum of $0.50.

Live Baccarat with Real Money

Live tables cover every budget, from low-limit tables at $0.50 per hand to VIP and Salon Privé rooms with limits in the thousands. Before you deposit, check the casino’s withdrawal times and whether live baccarat counts toward any bonus you plan to claim. Our casino rankings compare live baccarat offers side by side, and you can also play live baccarat with Bitcoin at some casinos.
Live Baccarat on Mobile

Live baccarat works in mobile browsers and casino apps. The interface switches to a compact layout: the video stays on top and the betting area moves below. Turn your phone sideways for the full table, and use Wi-Fi for a stable stream — an hour of HD video uses a fair amount of data.
